Ep. 28: Exploring La Frontera

Wild and Free: A Battle Born podcast is a platform for non-profit professionals, social justice activists and community driven artists that are trying to make a difference in the Southern Nevada community. We talk about the issues that matter and will motivate our fellow community members to get involved.

In this episode we talk with Sara Ortiz. Sara is the Program Manager for The Believer magazine and the Black Mountain Institute. Sara joins us to talk about The Believer Festival, which is a “a three-day roving celebration of writing, music, and visual arts. In the heart of the desert of southern Nevada, established and emerging artists, comedians, literary luminaries, and the Las Vegas arts community come together & divine a creative oasis”. Sara, who is new to Las Vegas, will also share with us some of her favorite haunts as well as her love of Topo Chico.
